The MRP system referred to as ECi JobBoss² is a comprehensive business management system that identifies necessary materials, estimates quantities, determines when materials will be required to meet the production schedule, and manages delivery timing – with the goal of meeting demands and improving overall productivity.

Daniel Redmond, Jr., President of Ayanna Plastics & Engineering, Inc., stated, “In the past, MRP software was just too expensive for a small business to implement but because of companies like ECi the JobsBoss 2 software has become an indispensable tool for our company. It helps with every aspect of running our business in the most efficient way possible”.

MRP data can now be stored in a cloud and accessed from anywhere there is the internet. Therefore, the need for an in-house IT department has faded, making these systems more affordable for small business owners. Ayanna can now more efficiently cut down on waste, utilize everyone’s time in the most efficient way possible, as well as help contribute to overall sustainable growth.

Ayanna Plastics & Engineering, Inc. adds Makino SST FE3 CNC Machine to Tool Shop

Clearwater, FL, August 26, 2022 – Ayanna Plastics & Engineering, Inc., a creative solutions-driven injection molding company, announced that it has recently purchased a new injection-molding press machine.

Makino’s SST FE3 CNC machine features an innovative design that brings new capabilities to general-purpose EDM Drilling applications.

The machine utilizes a semi-submerged mode of operation that submerges the bottom 1-inch of the work piece to aid in debris evacuation, reduce water spray or splashing, and provides more stable break-thru machining.

A full-function water reservoir unit is standard and contains a Wire EDM type filter and its own di-ionization system to maintain the water quality level.

The SST FE3 CNC machine uses a 15″ Touch Screen Windows based control system that contains many helpful canned cycle functions for part setup and operation. The control additionally allows the direct importing of CAD DXF files for programming or can run a Wire EDM program where the machine automatically reads the AWT Thread Points as Drill Points to produce start holes for Wire EDM parts.

The EDGE2i machine brings an effective combination of high performance and versatility to Sink EDM operations. The EDGEi-Series machines are configured with many productive technologies to efficiently handle any task and utilize the latest SuperSpark4 and IES (Intelligent Expert System) technologies. These advanced technologies provide intelligent adaptive power and jump controls to stabilize the EDM machining process and minimize electrode wear, and to drive optimum part quality results. The machine also features the leading-edge SuperSurface and SuperEdge generator technologies that produce uniform surface finish and metallurgical quality that are free from defects such as pin holes or pitting.

The EDGEi-Series machines utilize a compact and space-savings design that incorporates the di-electric reservoir into the base casting, which improves thermal stability, and is standard with a di-electric chiller unit. Machine positional accuracy is improved and maintained with the stationary worktable construction, and excellent work zone access is provided to the operator with a 4-sided programmable rise and fall work tank. The ATC (Automatic Tool Change) system is integrated into the machine structure and is located underneath the X and Y axes and provides extended unattended machine operation. The EDGE2i is configured for safe and reliable unattended operation and is equipped standard with an integrated Flame Sensor and Fire Suppression system.

The latest addition to Toshiba’s popular all-electric ECSX series offers molders greater versatility and performance in a streamlined frame design. It features a re-engineered clamping system, faster injection speeds, quick-change removable platens and more. The latest in Toshiba’s user-friendly Injectvisor series, the V70 offers more memory, graphics, and customizable inputs than previous models, along with sequences that are easier to configure.

Ayanna Plastics & Engineering, Inc.’s. participated with Pinellas County Schools to offer a summer apprenticeship to high school student Jacob Lewis.

Clearwater, FL, June 1, 2022 – Ayanna Plastics & Engineering, Inc., a creative solutions-driven injection molding company, announced the conclusion of a summer long apprenticeship with a member of the Dixie M. Hollins Highschool Machining Program.

Dixie Hollins Highschool offers a program for students to prepare for potential employment as entry level machinist, lathe operators, grinding operators, EDM basic programmers, CNC basic programmers, and tool makers.

Ayanna partnered with this program to give students a chance to put what they are learning in the program into action in an actual tool shop and learn more about what the field is all about.
